Department of Classics at Emory University seeks to fill a one-year
position for a full-time visiting instructor of Classics beginning in
August 2008 through May 2009. The candidate should be qualified to
teach Latin, Greek, and Classical civilization at all levels and show
evidence of strong teaching ability. Ph.D. preferred. The teaching
load is five courses a year and will include Elementary Latin I and
II and a survey course on Greek literature and civilization. The
other two courses are likely to be a course onClassical Drama and a
small advanced seminar in an area of particular interest to the
