teach undergraduate courses in the history of the ancient Mediterranean
world, historical methods, and Latin and Greek languages. Applicants

freshman seminar 'College Colloquium.' Teaching load is three-three, but
will be reduced campus-wide to three-two in 2010. Candidates must have
a Ph.D. in hand by the time of appointment. Applicants are strongly
