The Department of Classics at Queen's University at Kingston invites applications from outstanding scholars for a faculty appointment in Greek History under the terms of the Queen's National Scholars Program. Candidates whose research interest is in social history or epigraphy are particularly encouraged to apply. QNS appointments are to enrich teaching and research in newly developing fields of knowledge as well as traditional disciplines. Preference will be given to scholars to be appointed at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. The University invites applications from all qualified individuals. A maximum of four awards will be available in 2007/08. Appointments under this special program will be either tenure-track or special shorter term appointments in accordance with the Collective Agreement between the University and the Queen's University Faculty Association.
