The College of the Humanities at Carleton University in Ottawa, Ontario, invites applications for a one-year limited term appointment in Classics, at the rank of instructor or assistant professor, to begin July 1, 2007. The B.A. in Classics is housed in the College of the Humanities (see www.carleton.ca/chum/ or http://www.carleton.ca/classics). We seek an outstanding scholar with a PhD and a record of demonstrated excellence in both teaching and research. The successful applicant will be committed to undergraduate teaching including introductory survey courses. Applicants should be able to teach one and preferably both the Greek and Latin languages and to offer literature courses in translation. All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply.
