Over at About.com, NSG has an interesting feature on the origin of Roman numerals. [speaking of Roman numerals, is anyone out there getting obsessed with Sudoku? It's something which a Latin teacher could easily adapt with Roman numerals, but I'm not sure how easy it would be to solve same!]
