As mentioned below, I missed the first episode of Empire, so I can't comment on it, but folks wanting to read some reviews from folks with Classics backgrounds should check out Old School (can't remember if I've mentioned that blog here before) and Glaukopidos. Hopefully I'll get a chance to see episode two.
On a totally unrelated note, I wonder if any of the blogophiles out there have any opinions as to when a blog can be declared legally dead. I realize a pile of Classics blogs are done by folks with connections to academe -- such as Martialis -- and so who might be off doing other things for a while, but I've got a huge list of blogs that I regularly check which haven't been updated in months!!!! Whither, e.g., are Ara Modus Operandi, Agnoscentia, and Classico e Moderno?
