Unio Europaea in praesenti unam et viginti linguas officiales habet.

Ad hunc numerum perventum est, cum conventui Unionis in Luxemburgo habito placuit, ut etiam linguae Hibernicae ille status officialis concederetur.

Eodem tempore tres sermones in Hispania minores, inter eos lingua Vasconica, condicionem semiofficialem acceperunt.
